LADIES WHO LUNCH: Tha Calcutta Series: How can a Chinese restaurant be called Waldorf?!

WANNA DO LUNCH?

For the longest time I thought that I would be a complete fraud to start a food blog when I hardly cook... But then I thought about it and here is my logic: do I need to be an artist to collect and enjoy art? NO! Do I need to be a race driver to like watching Formula 1? NO! Ok, I am not a great chef, but:

* I love delicious conversation over delicious food;

* I love to try out new flavours;

* I think food is a big part of who we are, and of our history;

* I love the fact that since I have moved to Bombay (12 years ago), I have lost count of the new restaurants that have opened up;

* I love all the food rituals of India, and I love the importance food has in an average Indian household;

* I absolutely love looking at ingredients, although I don't always convert them into chef d'oeuvres;

* I absolutely respect people who can make you go "mmmmmmmm" with pleasure through the food they have cooked;

* Whenever I travel, experiencing the local food is a HUGE part of my agenda.
